Very nice combat-worn M40 helmet.
A thick layer of textured Feldgrau paint was applied over the original factory paint during the war. Due to wear, the original paint is visible in several areas, especially on the top of the helmet. The helmet still retains its original liner, which has never been removed.
The long chin strap is missing, but the short buckle strap is still on the helmet.
The shell is stamped EF64 (Emaillierwerke A.G., Fulda) with lot number 786.
Additionally, a white-painted number “326.” is visible on the inside.
A nice, worn helmet that definitely saw combat use.
